Alice Geneva Powell, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 29, 2016, at Westminster Village-North in Indianapolis. She was born on Oct. 10, 1931, in Glasgow, Ky., to Austin Kinslow and Elizabeth (Bridges) Kinslow.

She later met and married Aubrey “Kenneth” Powell and they had been happily married for many years prior to his passing. After completing her education, Alice worked as a technician for Regency Electronics. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, trips to the casino, and was a competitive bingo player. Alice found though that her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family.

Alice is survived by her son, Kenneth Daniel Powell; daughter, Deborah (Roger) Coffman; son, Donald (Erin) Powell; daughter, Denise (Bryston) Franke; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Edwin Kinslow; sister, K. Jewel Allgood; and sister, Mary Dee Steenbergen.

Funeral Services for Alice will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday November 1, with visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to service at Hendryx Mortuary – Cumberland Chapel, 11636 East Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Burial will follow at a later date at Washington Park East Cemetery.
