Richard L. Knose, 85 of Greenfield, went to be with his wife on Monday, October 24, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice in Greenfield. He was born on October 10, 1931, in Hagerstown, Ind., to the late Clarence and Mabel (Hardwick) Knose.
Richard married the love of his life Ernestine Favorite on December 2, 1950, in New Castle. He would spend his career working for the Ford Motor Company as a Tool Cutter/Grinder from 1957 until his retirement in 1988.
He enjoyed mowing, concrete work, watching Boxing, Nascar, and Football.
Surviving Richard are his sons, John R. Knose of Greenfield, Ronald J. (Vickie) Knose of Greenfield, Richard L. (Linda) Knose of Rising Sun, Ind., Larry Knose of Greenfield; daughters, Geraldine (Stan) Pelletier; Terri (Ron) Bailes of Bloomville, Ohio, Brenda S. (Butch) McPherson of Greenfield; Debra J. Kirby of Nashville, N.C., and Melinda E. (Ron) Johnson of Grayson, Ky.; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a little angel, Vivian.
Preceding him in death are his parents listed above; wife, Ernestine Knose; son, David E. Knose; and several brothers.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at the funeral home with Chaplain Katherine Murray officiating. Burial will follow the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
