Teresa Marie Goff
Teresa Marie “Terri” (Herbert) Goff, 51, of Fortville, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016, at Community North Hospital. She was born April 16, 1965, in Shelbyville to the late Walter and Ethel Herbert.
Terri is a 1983 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. She was a hard worker and worked a variety of jobs over the years. Most recently she was employed as a server and bartender at the VFW of Fortville. Many will remember Terri by her contagious smile, big heart, and her laughter. Teresa’s willingness to always help people and meet other’s needs led her to wanting her body donated to science in hopes to help others in the future.
She is survived by her son, Justin Goff of Pendleton; sister, Doris (Herbert) Johnson of Fortville; brother, Fred Herbert of Greenfield; long-time partner, Bill Eldridge of Fortville; nephew, Darrin Johnson of Fortville; niece, Hillary Denney of New Palestine; great-niece, Nora Grace Denney of New Palestine; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ethel Herbert and infant brother, Walter Herbert Jr.
A celebration of Terri’s life will be held Saturday, October 22, at New Life Christian Fellowship in Fortville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to Noon, followed by a memorial service. A dinner will be held after the service for her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Teresa Goff Memorial Fund may be made to the family to defray medical and final expenses, they can be made at any Greenfield Banking Company Branch.
