Linn J. (Roos) Ellis, 87, of Greenfield, died Sunday October 16, 2016, at Golden Living Nursing Home. She was born on April 29, 1929, in Lincoln, Ill., as the daughter of John A. Roos and Flossie J. (Turner) Roos.
She is survived by her sons, Rev. Stephen (Elma) Ellis of Greenfield and Kelly (Luchie) Ellis of Florida; brother, Stuart V. Roos of West Palm Beach, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon E. Ellis; father, John A. Roos; mother, Flossie J. (Turner) Roose; two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, at Erlewein Mortuary. Pastor Mike Manning will be officiating. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be sent directly to Trinity Park United Methodist Church or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
