James G. Wiseman Jr.
James G. Wiseman Jr., 75, of New Palestine, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Community Hospital East. He was born on July 24, 1941, in Indianapolis as the son of James G. Sr. and Margaret (Tharp) Wiseman.
James graduated from North Central High School in 1959. He married Marcia L. (Hargraves) on July 31, 1959, in Indianapolis. He worked for Cummins Engine Company for several years. He also worked for Cash and Carry Paper Company and J&K Automotive Color in Greenfield. Mr. Wiseman enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.
James is survived by his wife, Marcia L. Wiseman of New Palestine; children, Debbie (Wayne) Polly of New Palestine, Trina (Kevin) Speas of Greenfield and Gary (Barbara) Wiseman of New Palestine; grandchildren, Morgan, Hannah, Ben, Weston, Aaron, Riley, Andy, Ryan and Audrey; great-grandchildren, Colin, Kinsley and Caroline; and two nieces, Cathy and Diane.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Margaret Wiseman.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent directly to Riley Children’s Hospital, 30 S. Meridian St, #200, Indianapolis, IN 46204, or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
