GREENFIELD — A Greenfield man was arrested this week after police discovered a series of illicit videos and photographs of children on one of his computers, investigators said.

Timothy Boyd, 41, 1631 Whisler Drive, Greenfield, faces a Level 6 felony count of possession of child pornography. He was being held at press time without bond, pending an initial court hearing.

Boyd told investigators during an interview this week he started watching child pornography when adult videos become boring to him, according to court documents.

Boyd told police he had never physically touched or harmed a child, records state. He told officers he had previously coached youth football and baseball teams but never felt attracted to the young people he was around or made sexual advances toward them, according to court documents.

Indiana State Police began investigating Boyd earlier this month. Read more about the case in an upcoming edition of the Daily Reporter.
