Melisa S. Speer
Melisa “Missy” S. Speer, 43, of Greenfield, died Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born on June 5, 1973, in Greenfield, a daughter of Terry and Terri (Whitfield) Speer of Carthage.
In addition to her parents, Melisa is survived by her two children, Caleb and Victoria Phillips both of Morristown; a brother, Jason Speer of Greenfield; two nephews; maternal grandfather, Robert Whitfield of Carthage; paternal grandmother, Louise Speer of Greenfield and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Melisa was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Shirley Whitfield and paternal grandfather, Jack Speer.
A celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, October 7, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor David Deem officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, prior to the celebration of life.
