Betty L. Howell, 91 of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born on April 29, 1925, in Greenfield to the late William Meisel and Opal L. (Addison) Williams.
Betty married the love of her life James L. Howell on September 13, 1958. Betty retired from owning and operating B.H.W. Sales and Service with her husband, James. She also attended the Fortville Christian Church.
Betty is survived by her stepchildren, James P. Howell of Mundlein, Ill., Dennis L. Howell of Muncie, Pamela Gwinnup of Greenfield, Jane Eaks of Greenfield, John S. Howell of Antioch, Ill., David W. Howell of Greenfield, Kevin Howell of Fortville; sister, Edith Vance of Greenwood; 27 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James L. Howell; sister, Ruth Parry; daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Howell; and son-in-law, David L. Eaks.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 2 p.m. on Friday September 30, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial immediately following the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
