Marauders receive honorable mention
The Mt. Vernon boys soccer team earned an honorable mention in the recent Indiana Soccer Coaches Association’s weekly rankings, released Monday.
The Class 2A Marauders are 9-2 on the season and 5-0 in the Hoosier Heritage Conference as of Tuesday night.

New Pal Booster Club selling pork burgers
Through the generosity of the Rusche and Kleiman families, the New Palestine High School Athletic Booster Club will be selling pork burgers during Friday’s homecoming football game against Greenfield-Central.
Cost is $4 per sandwich. Grills fire up at 5 p.m., with sandwiches available shortly thereafter. Look for the grills and canopy tents in the lawn area.
New Dragons apparel also will be on sale along with preferred parking spots for students and booster club memberships. The Athletic Booster Club accepts cash, check or charge.

Dragons hold at 11th in weekly rankings
The New Palestine Dragons volleyball team held at 11th in the latest Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association’s weekly rankings.
The Dragons were 4-3 last week, claiming victories against Pike, Terre Haute South Vigo, Fort Wayne Snider, and Heritage Christian. New Palestine is 18-5 overall.
