R.L. Claborn, 76, of Hopkinsville, Ky. passed away Friday, September 16, 2016, at Life Hospice in Nashville, Tenn. Born May 22, 1940 in Pickett County, Tenn., to George Russell and Minnie Lee (Storie) Claborn.
He is survived by two daughters, Melodie (Michael) Elliott, of Hopkinsville, Ky., Michelle (Martin) Ward of Greenfield; three sisters, Edna Cope and Mary Daisy (Jerry) Johnson both of Ohio, and Linda Kay Sisco of Cookeville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; several nieces; nephews, plus a host of other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and two sisters.
The family will receive friends after 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home until time of service. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. (C.S.T.), Thursday, September 22, in the Chapel, with Pastor Quintin McNabb of Corinth Christian Church officiating.
