GREENFIELD – The Hancock County Solid Waste Management District will host a collection event for a variety of objects 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at Covance, 671 S. Meridian Road, Greenfield.
Items that may be brought are: expired nonperishable food; hazardous waste, $5 fee per carload; electronics, $5 fee per carload; $20 fee for projection screen TVs; $10 fee for 32-inch or larger cathode ray TVs; $5 fee for 31-inch or smaller CRT TVs and all CRT computer monitors; document-shredding at $3 per box; tires: $4.50 off-rim, $5 on the rim; first two car tires are free. No latex paint will be accepted.
