Gas leak reported in Greenfield

GREENFIELD — First-responders are on the scene of a gas leak near the intersection of Apple and McKenzie roads in Greenfield.

Construction crews doing roadwork in the area called 911 when the leak was found, according to police broadcasts.

Drivers should avoid the area. Traffic could be blocked for the next two hours, according to police broadcasts.

Officials are asking residents to stay inside their homes, keep all doors and windows shut and not light tobacco products or burn candles.
