Dragons, Marauders lead conference

The New Palestine and Mt. Vernon boys soccer programs are currently front-runners in the Hoosier Heritage Conference standings. As of Wednesday morning, the Marauders were 4-0 in the HHC and the Dragons were 2-0.

Marauders, Arabians lead standings

The Mt. Vernon girls soccer team is leading the HHC with a 5-0 mark, but the Pendleton Heights Arabians remain in the hunt at 3-0. Both teams have only one loss this season.

Marauders cheer call-out meetings set

Two Mt. Vernon basketball cheerleading call-out meetings are scheduled for this week. The first is set for today during SRT in the Marauder Room. The second will take place on Friday during SRT in the same location.

The first meeting is for current and former cheerleaders who are interested in trying out for basketball cheer. The second meeting is for those students who have never cheered previously but are interested in trying out.

The Marauder Room is located across from the trainer’s office on the athletics/north end of the building.

Fever’s Catchings opens Reading Corner

Starting today, patients and families at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health will have new inspiration to crack open a book.

Four-time Olympic gold medalist and Indiana Fever star Tamika Catchings and the Catch the Stars Foundation are bringing a basketball-themed reading corner to the Edward A. Block Family Library at Riley at IU Health.
