Prosecutors release details of plea deal for aide accused of having sex with students

GREENFIELD — Kisha Nuckols, a former Mt. Vernon Community Schools Corp. teacher’s aide accused of having sex with high school students, has accepted a plea agreement in her criminal case.

Nuckols, 38, 321 E. Delaware St., will plead guilty to one count of Level 5 felony child seduction and serve no more than two years of a four-year sentence, according to the agreement, which is pending approval by a judge. The remaining time will be spent on probation.

Nuckols had faced three counts of child seduction as well as a count of dissemination of material harmful to minors, a charge related to allegations she sent nude photos to a student. Those charges will be dropped as part of the agreement.

Attorneys for the state and defense will argue in court where Nuckols will spend her two years. She could be sent to prison or serve her time in a low-level security program, such as work-release.

She returns to court Monday for sentencing.
