Wava R. Gregory, 74, Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Crown Pointe Senior Living of Greenfield. She was born October 22, 1941, in Kentucky the daughter of the late Homer and Nellie (Chaney) Denny.
Wava worked in the cafeteria at Eastern Hancock Schools for 28 years and was involved in the girls’ sports program. She was an avid sports fan and loved IU basketball and Colts football. She was a member of the Kennard Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Gregory; son, Kevin (Kathleen) Gregory of Greenwood; daughter, Terri Masters of Greenfield; sisters, Faye Wallace, Pauline Dalton, June Blessinger, Mary Ellen Denny, Cindy Senay, Diane Means; brothers, Melvin Austin, Glen Denny; three grandchildren, Jason Gregory, Jacob Gregory, Logan Masters; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Ralph Denny.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 10, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
