INDIANAPOLIS — The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site brings “Hamilton” mania to Indianapolis with an appearance by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ron Chernow, author of the book “Alexander Hamilton,” the inspiration for the Broadway musical. Chernow will be speaking as this year’s recipient of the Advancing American Democracy Award at 6 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Columbia Club, 121 Monument Circle. INDIANAPOLIS — The 50th annual Penrod Arts Fair, billed as “Indiana’s Nicest Day,” runs from 9 a.m. to 5 pm. Saturday on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, 4000 Michigan Road, features more than 300 artists, six stages of entertainment, 50 arts-related nonprofit organizations, an extensive children’s area and an Indiana craft beer garden. Presale tickets for $15 are available through the website, penrod.org. Admission at the gate is $20.
