GREENFIELD — Tuttle Orchards will kick off the fall season with its annual Caramel Apple Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the orchard, 5717 N. County Road 300W.
The festival features activities including a caramel apple baking contest at 11 a.m., a red wagon parade at 2 p.m., an antique tractor display and a build-your-own caramel apple bar with gourmet toppings available throughout the day. Attendees can see the bees making honey in the observation hive, pick their own sunflowers and enjoy their favorite fall treats.
The festival is the opening day for many of the orchard’s fall activities, including the new tractor town play area for kids, the Agrimaze corn maze, hayrides and the café. A fall visit to Tuttle Orchards is a family tradition for many in Hancock and surrounding counties with more than 29 varieties of apples.
