Cougars plan cancer benefit this weekend
The Greenfield-Central girls’ soccer team is hosting its third annual Kickin’ Cancer Tournament on Saturday at the high school soccer fields. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.
The Cougars will be in action at 2 p.m. Saturday. The consolation game will take place at 6 p.m., with the championship game at 8 p.m.
Greenfield-Central, Herron, North Knox and Lawrence Central high schools will be the four teams playing in the tournament.
The event will honor those who have lost the battle with cancer, those who are fighting and those who have won. There will be raffle prizes throughout the day and t-shirts for sale.
There will be a luminary ceremony between the consolation and championship game around 7:30 pm.

The Eastern Hancock athletics office is sponsoring a Royal Pride apparel online team shop through Sept. 7. Online sales are available with profits going to support the school’s athletic vision.
