GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Fire Department is purchasing bullet-proof vests for its firefighters, to be kept in the ambulances and fire engines.
The gear would be used as in case of an active-shooter emergency in the city.
The decision comes on the heels of the city’s police department making a similar purchase.
