HANCOCK COUNTY — Two local churches are hosting fish fry events this weekend to raise money for mission efforts.
The Bridge Church, 611 Vitality Drive, Fortville, will conduct its annual community summer picnic from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday featuring fish and chicken from Dan’s Fish Fry.
Tickets, available at the event, are $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and younger eat free. Tickets include fish or chicken, dessert, sides and drinks.
The event will feature live music, motor sports performance, a bounce house and games.

Trinity Park United Methodist Church, 207 W. Park Ave., in Greenfield, will also welcome families for a day of dining and fellowship Saturday.
Its annual fish fry is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
For a donation, those who attend will receive fish or tenderloin, baked beans, cole slaw, chips, dessert and a drink. Dine-in, carry-out and drive-through will be available at the church.
