GREENFIELD — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect who burglarized a Hancock County gun store Thursday, officials said.
Thieves broke into J&M Sporting Goods in the 3500 block of U.S. 40 in Greenfield just before 3 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Twelve handguns and rifles were taken, but no suspects have been identified.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is a national agency that specializes in investigating the illegal use and trade of firearms. Its agents are working closely with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department to investigate the local case, police said.
