Police seek information about possible suspect in multiple car break-ins

GREENFIELD — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person believed to be responsible for a series of reported car break-ins on the county’s east side.

Surveillance video recorded one suspect trying to break into a business-owned van, one of the 15 vehicles broken into overnight Wednesday in two New Palestine neighborhoods.

Indiana State Police, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and the Cumberland Police Department still are investigating the break-ins and are partnering with Crime Stoppers to gather information about the case.

Callers who provide information to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest are eligible to receive a cash reward up to $1,000.
