James Ruben Waldroup, 85, Wesley Chapel, Fla., born Jan. 24,1931, passed away August 20, 2016. He was born in Robbinsville, N.C. and raised his family in New Palestine.

He was a member of the New Palestine Masonic Lodge for 50 years and served in the army during the Korean War.

He is survived by six children, James Larry Waldroup, Nettie Hogue, Sheila Bolton, Marietta (Kevin) Senter, Michael L. Waldroup, and David W. Waldroup; ten grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife, Mary V. Waldroup; parents, R.V. Waldroup and Caroline Queen Waldroup.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 25, at Flanner Buchanan–Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
