Herbert Earl Rosemeyer, 84, New Palestine, passed away August 19, 2016. He was born October 24, 1931, to the late Herbert W. and Emma Haenggi Rosemeyer.
Herb graduated from Warren Central High School and attended Indiana Central. He married Joan Rosemeyer and she preceded him in death.
Herb served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a Foreman at Naval Avionics for 36 years, retiring in 1988 and built and installed van lifts for Muscular Dystrophy patients. Herb enjoyed sports and fishing. He was a member of Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ.
Herb is survived by two grandchildren, Kelly (Paul) Watson, Bryan Dougherty; and three great-grandchildren, Declan, Brinley and Avyn.
He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth L. Rosemeyer and daughter, Debra S. Leavell.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, August 24,at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 25.
