GREENFIELD — Police are looking for a driver who struck and killed a horse training to become a therapy animal for people with disabilities.
Malachi, an 11-year-old male standardbred horse owned by Edelweiss Equine-Assisted Therapy Center, was killed in a hit-and-run accident over the weekend.
Leaders of a local nonprofit say they are devastated by the loss. Police are now searching for the driver.
