The Class 5A New Palestine Dragons retained their spot at No. 2 in this week’s The Associated Press high school football rankings after defeating 5A No. 10 Whiteland this past Friday.
Eastern Hancock dropped out of the 2A top 10 rankings after losing to 4A Greenfield-Central on opening night. The Cougars, meanwhile, were recognized for their Week 1 victory and are 19th in the overall rankings.
