Kari Rose Barnett Bollig, 45, Rock Springs, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, Wy. after a lengthy illness. She was born September 4, 1970, in Greenfield, the daughter of Ronnie L. and Alice Shaw Barnett.

She graduated from Greenfield Central High School with the class of 1989. She earned a master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff in 1999.

She married Edwin L. Bollig April 26, 2003 in Green River, Wyoming.

Kari worked for the Children’s Development Center as a Speech Therapist. She worked with her certified therapy dog “Hattie”, helping with developmental skills as well as other speech therapies.

She enjoyed scrap booking, reading and working with children. She was a published author. She was very active at Ordinary Faith Church.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin L. Bollig of Rock Springs; her parents, Ronnie and Alice Barnett of Greenfield; brother, Ty Barnett of New Palestine; two nieces and a nephew.

Memorial services took place at 5:30 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2016, at the Young At Heart Senior Center, 2400 Reagan Ave., Rock Springs, Wyoming. A memorial service in Greenfield, Indiana will be scheduled at a future date.
