Virginia B. (Hawkins) Kehrt, 80, Greenfield, died on Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation in Greenfield. She was born on February 18, 1936, in Hancock County, to the late Roy F. and Stella M. (Schutt) Hawkins.
Surviving Virginia are her children, Sherry L. Knight, Jerry L. Waggoner, Donna F. Waggoner; stepchildren, Cindy Hillard, Julie Blyth, Kathy Gassensmith, Gary Kehrt; nephew/caregiver, James Hawkins; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents listed above; husband, Billy Kehrt; stepson, Steven N. Kehrt; sisters, Dorotha Gotcher, Thelma J. Hawkins, and brothers, Franklin and Marvin Hawkins.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main St., Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at Noon also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery.
