Glenn W. Cloyd, 75, Fortville, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 11, 1940, in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Glenn F. and Barbara L. (Myers) Cloyd.
Glenn was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship in Fortville; Past Master of the Fortville F&AM Lodge No. 207; and very active in the International Order Job’s Daughters, serving as, Past Associate Grand Guardian (2000-2001) of the Indiana Chapter; Past Associate Guardian, Bethel 41, Fortville; Past Deputy, Bethel 67, Greenfield; and Past President, Board of Directors, HIKE (Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment). He was also Past President of the Indiana Chapter of the National Campers and Hikers Association. He retired from Thompson Consumer Electronics (formerly RCA) in 2001 where he had been a Design Draftsman and worked in computer security.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Della J. (McGhee) Cloyd whom he married September 9, 1961; daughters, Lesa (David) Dowd of Chicago, Krista (Kevin) Helm of McCordsville and Jobina (Brad) Weimer of Aiken, S.C.; grandchildren, Breanna Nichole Kalamar, Cole William Weimer and Lincoln Bradley Weimer; and sister, Shurretta Schuckers of Anderson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville where Masonic Memorial Rites will be conducted at 7:30 pm. A Celebration of Glenn’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 19, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
