Terry E. Edon
Terry E. Edon, 54, of Greenfield, passed away on August 9, 2016, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on August 17, 1961, in Beech Grove, to Hall E. and Creola (Bean) Edon.
Terry graduated from Greenfield-Central High School in 1979 and was a wrestling State Champion during his senior year of high school. He was inducted into the Greenfield-Central Community School Corporation — Athletic Hall of Fame, and the Indiana High School Wrestling Hall of Fame. Terry then graduated from the University of Indianapolis with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He married the love of his life Cheryl Caughman on November 8, 1980. Terry was an avid sports fan. He loved to coach youth league sports and middle school sports. He was also a huge Colts fan. Terry was an active philanthropist for many years. He was the owner of Signarama in Greenfield for seven years. Terry was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ, Rotary Club of Greenfield, Elks Lodge, New Palestine Chamber of Commerce, and the Greenfield Chamber of Commerce where he was nominated for the Business Man of the Year in 2015.
Surviving Terry are his parents listed above; wife, Cheryl Edon of Greenfield; son, Logan Edon of Indianapolis; daughter, Lacie Edon of Greenfield; sister, Carol Ann (Gary) Pence of Greenfield; brothers, Alan (Sherry) Edon of New Palestine; Barry (Renee) Edon of Greenfield; sister-in- law, Donnette (Cory) Johnson; in-laws, Don (Carolyn) Caughman of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main St., Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at the funeral home with burial immediately following at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, 621 South State St., Greenfield, IN 46140.
