Dragons cheer team conducting fundraiser

The New Palestine High School cheerleaders will be hosting a free carwash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the high school parking lot.

In addition, the Dragons cheerleaders welcome supporters for an evening of fun at their Canvas and Cupcakes event on Saturday in the high school cafeteria.

The cost is $20 per person and includes an instructed class on canvas painting, cupcakes and drinks. All ages are welcome. Those interested in participating can register online at www.letspaint4fun.com.

Money raised from both events will go toward supporting the school’s cheerleading program.

Eastern Hancock launches athletics app

A mobile application developed by Joe Paxton for Eastern Hancock athletics has been launched. The app is available for both Android and Apple devices and provides Royals fans with team information, schedules, directions and more.

The app can be found in the App Store (Apple) or Play Store (Android).

New Pal baseball set upcoming golf outing

The New Palestine Baseball Backers are hosting a golf outing Sept. 17. The event will be at The Links Golf Course, 11425 N. PR Links Lane, New Palestine.

Registration is open until Sept. 2. The cost to participate is $300 per foursome, which includes a box lunch, cart rental and dinner.

The event schedule will begin with sign-in at 11:30 a.m., a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m., and dinner and awards at 5:30 p.m.

Contests will include best scores (first and second place), closest to the pin, longest drive, putting contest, blind drawings, raffles and giveaways.

Registration open for Royals golf fundraiser

Eastern Hancock High School athletics is conducting its annual baseball and girls basketball golf outing Aug. 27, at Hawk’s Tail Golf Course.

The Florida Scramble event will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. Sign-in registration is at 7 a.m. Lunch will be provided after the completion of the round.

Portions of the entry fee will go to raise money for the Eastern Hancock baseball and girls basketball programs.

The cost to play is $60 per person, $240 per team (four members per team), or $15 per person for lunch and no golf.

Free range balls will be available prior to the start. Those entering as a pair will be matched with another two-member team.

Prizes offered during the event include: lowest score for first-place team, closest to the pin, longest drive, longest putt, and last-place team.
