Samuel W. Myers, 85, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2016. He was a loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was born September 10, 1930, in Fortville, to the late M. Dennison and Mary M. (Wood) Myers.
Sam was very active at Crooked Creek Baptist Church, Pike Lions Club, and the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha A. (Leslie) Myers; sons, Dennis L. (Linda K.) Myers and Larry R. (Linda S.) Myers; daughters, Carol A. (Frank) Drumwright and Susan J. Brown; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia P. (Lawrence) Scholl and a grandchild, Joshua B. Myers.
Sam will be missed, but will live on in our hearts forever.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 11, at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46228. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 12, with one hour of visitation prior to service. Entombment will be at Washington Park North Cemetery.
