GREENFIELD — The Greenfield City Council is considering borrowing up to $3.3 million to pay for the renovation of a Greenfield fire station.

On Wednesday, the council will have a public hearing to give residents a chance to weigh in on the city’s proposal to borrow money to renovate Greenfield Fire Territory Station 22 on New Road.

Fire officials say the station, built 25 years ago, is outdated and cramped. Plans call for a new living quarters, ambulance bay, fitness area and training center.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in council chambers at city hall, 10 S. State St.
