The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are labeled “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Violations found: C — store veggies above raw meats in prep cooler to prevent contamination, to be corrected by July 5; C — queso sauce not hot enough, corrected; C — working spray bottles must be labeled with chemical name, to be corrected by July 5; NC/R — scoops for chips and ice cannot be stored on top of equipment, corrected; NC — when wrapping tableware, tableware must be handled by handle, not lip contact surface, corrected; NC — need to have sanitizing strips available for use, to be corrected by July 15; C — hand sink must be used for hand washing only, remove dirty dishes and clean, corrected; NC/R — repair coving and flooring in kitchen, to be corrected by Oct. 1.
