Nadine E. Munden, 80, of Carthage, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016, at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center. She was born May 10, 1936, in Henry County, a daughter of the late Jesse Baker and Marjorie L. (Fell) Baker.

A 1954 graduate of Spiceland High School, Nadine was a past member of the Mixers Home Ec Club, and the USFW ladies group of Charlottesville Friends Meeting, where she attended. A homemaker for many years, she later worked in the food service department at Knighstown High School, and later at Carthage Elementary School. She enjoyed gardening, reading, taking long walks in the woods, and loved to cook, especially for her family. Nadine very much enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially playing badminton with them.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 59 years, John F. Munden of Carthage, whom she married on October 7, 1956; four children, Bruce Munden of Greenfield, Dale (Lou) Munden of Arcadia, Diana (Tony) Fultz of Carthage, and Beth (Dave) Back of Carthage; seven grandchildren, Brooke (Jon-Eric) McMahel of Knightstown, John (Ashley) Munden of Grantsburg, Wis., Ryan (fiance, Mandy Seward) Fultz of Indianapolis, Jesse (fiance, Whitney Mackey) of Anderson, Cory Back of Carthage, and a student at Purdue University, Jordan Munden of Arcadia, and Casey Back of Carthage, and a student at Anderson University; two great-grandchildren, Bayleigh and Boston McMahel, both of Knightstown; one sister, Parnie (Mike) Rawlins of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 2, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. Services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, with David Deem officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
