Greenfield Main Street sets Picnic on the Plaza

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Main Street presents Picnic on the Plaza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Courthouse Plaza.

Pack a lunch and enjoy live music from Stuart Poe of the Punkin Holler Boys, bean-bag toss and camaraderie. Carol’s Cornerstone Café, Lincoln Square Pancake House and Tour of Italy all offer to-go lunches for those who don’t want to pack a lunch.

New exhibit showing in bank’s art gallery

GREENFIELD — Cheryl Johnson’s artwork will be on display in the Greenfield Banking Company’s Art Gallery, 1920 N. Main St., during July and August. Johnson, born in Connersville, has been studying art seriously since 2009.

Johnson enjoys painting local landscapes, flowers and working in still-life. She won Best of Show at both the 2012 Area 9 Competition and the 2013 Henry County Art Association Show.

Johnson is a member of the Whitewater Valley Art Association and the Indiana Plein Air Association. The gallery, located on the second floor, is open to the public during normal business hours.

McCordsville movie night showing ‘Minions’

McCORDSVILLE — The Town of McCordsville’s Park Board will host Movie in the Park with “Minions” on Saturday.

Festivities next to the Town Hall, 6280 W. County Road, 800N, begin at 7:30 p.m. with food vendors, games and face painting. The movie will begin at dark between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and bug spray.
