Chester Darrell Deck, 83, Knightstown, passed away peacefully Monday, July 18, 2016, at his home surrounded by family. He was born February 6, 1933, in Ogden the son of the late Chester and Hildreth (McIntyre) Deck.

Darrell graduated from Charlottesville High School, Johnson Bible College, Tenn. where he met the love of his life Betty June Marsh and they were married almost 62 years ago. He was a dedicated minister, historian, humanitarian, who ministered in in Georgia, Indiana and Tennessee. He was the founder of the Octagon House Reeves Foundation and most recently worked at Henry Co. Hospital.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Deborah (Bill) Jefferson, Darlene Wilburn; grandchildren, Clint Robbins, Nathan Deck, Jennifer Logsdon, Travis Wilburn, Clay Robbins, Cassie (Chris) Cole, Joanna West, Ashley Hines, Andy, Matt (Laura) and Cara Jefferson; 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Deck.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 22, at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 23, at the funeral home with Gary Sickle officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
