Milan Miracle’s Craft to speak in Greenfield

Ray Craft, point guard for the state championship Milan basketball team, which inspired the movie “Hoosiers,” will share memories of the “Milan Miracle” from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at the Hancock County Public Library in Greenfield.

In March 1954, tiny Milan High School defeated the much larger Muncie Central High School to take the state basketball championship back when Indiana high school hoops competed in a single-class tournament.

Craft will share his memories of that game and championship season and discuss how the “Milan Miracle” changed his life, the lives of his teammates and the town of Milan itself.

Sign up for this free event at hcplibrary.org or call 317-462-5141, ext. 240
