Greenfield resident files to be write-in candidate in council race

Council race gets write-in candidate

GREENFIELD — A Hancock County resident has filed to run as a write-in candidate for an at-large seat on the Hancock County Council.

Zachary LaFavers of Greenfield filed paperwork to be a write-in candidate for the local race. His name won’t appear on the ballot, but residents who wish to support him can write his name in on their ballot at the polls.

Other candidates for the three at-large seats are Republicans Debbie Bledsoe, Kent Fisk and Martha Vail and Democrats Rita Johnson and Randy Jones.

The general election is Nov. 8.
