INDIANAPOLIS — State officials unveiled the names of more than 2,000 Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay torchbearers Wednesday during a special ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse.
The Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay starts Sept. 9 in Corydon, Indiana’s first state capital, and will wind through all 92 Indiana counties before ending with a celebration at the statehouse Oct. 14.
The relay comes through Hancock County on the final day, Oct. 14.
Torchbearers were nominated by the public and selected by local committees.
These are Hancock County’s torchbearers, according to the local bicentennial committee, which oversaw the selection process:
