Edna M. Ferrell, 100, Fortville, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, in Indianapolis. She was born Dec. 8, 1915, in Fairmount, to the late Charles E. and Margaret (Collins) Nicholson.
She was a member of the Fortville Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years, Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Fortville Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 149 and had been a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout leader.
Edna is survived by sons, Ted Ferrell of Greenfield and Joe (Sue) Ferrell of Fortville; daughters, Sally M. Frazer and Beth Ann (Troy) Fry both of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Ferrell in 1996; three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 1, at the funeral home. Burial will take place a Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
