Johnny Cash tribute show set for Greenfield Courthouse Plaza

GREENFIELD — Gary West brings his Johnny Cash musical tribute show, “For the Love of Cash,” back to Greenfield at 7 p.m. Friday at the Greenfield Courthouse Plaza, at the corner of State St. and Main St. for Entertainment on the Plaza.

West, a graduate of Eastern Hancock High School, played a successful Cash tribute show at the Ricks Centre in August of 2015. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a blanket.

No rain dates are scheduled for Entertainment on the Plaza events. Visit garywestmusic.com for more information.

Cumberland plans celebration of Founders’ Day at town hall

CUMBERLAND — The town of Cumberland will celebrate its inaugural Founders’ Day Celebration from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of the Cumberland Town Hall, 11501 East Washington St.

This event is a celebration of the community and history of Cumberland and of Indiana’s Bicentennial. Included in the day’s events are the historical Cumberland tent, local band Red Rabbit, the Hearts Ablaze cloggers performing in the children’s tent area, food trucks, a bicycle parade, Silly Safari’s live animal show and vintage games.
