Marauders’ York picked to play in All-Star Cup
Mt. Vernon graduate Cassie York will compete for the Marauders one more time this tennis season.
The standout No. 1 singles player has been selected to play in the 18th Annual North/South Senior Tennis All-Star Cup, sponsored by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association.
The three-round event will be Sunday at Marian University in Indianapolis and will begin at 10 a.m.
The North Team will be coached by Julie Hawkins (West Lafayette Harrison), Bill Mountford (South Bend St. Joseph) and Tim Cleland (Delta).

Soccer team tryouts planned in Greenfield
The USF Real Soccer Club is conducting its annual team tryouts Monday and Tuesday at Brandywine Park in Greenfield.
Monday’s sessions begin at noon with 19U ’98 and 18U ’99. At 2 p.m. 17U ’00, 16U ’01 and 15U ’02 will tryout. Players for 14U ’03 and 13U ’04 go at 4 p.m. The 12U ’05 and 11U ’06 players will take the field at 6 p.m.
Tuesday’s supplemental sessions consist of 11U ’03 through 14U ’06 at 6 p.m. and 15U ’98 through 19U ’02 at 8 p.m.

Greenfield soccer club to host 4-day camp
The Greenfield Area Soccer Club is celebrating eight years of soccer camp with a four-day event, beginning June 13.
The camp runs through June 16 at Brandywine Park at 900 East Davis Road in Greenfield.
Players ages 5 to 14 can participate. The camp is scheduled to go from 6 to 7:30 p.m. each day. The cost is $50 per person with a $10 late fee assessed after June 1.
