Ronald R. Gorman, age 80, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospice. He was born on January 18, 1936, in Indianapolis, as the son of Roy and Helena (Poland) Gorman.
He married Charlotte A. (Keithley) on June 3, 1960, in Indianapolis. He was a self-employed Master Carpenter. Mr. Gorman was a member and past president of The Lutheran Service Club. Ronald was a member of The Lutheran Church where he was a past property administrator and elder. He currently attended Brookville Road Community Church in New Palestine. Ronald loved his grandkids and great-grandkids. He enjoyed bowling and traveling.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Charlotte Gorman of Greenfield; son, Barry (Cindy) Gorman of Indianapolis; daughters, Tanya (Robert) Huskisson of Greenfield and Ramoan (Joe) Dugan of Greenwood; grandchildren, Alisa (Kraig) Elliott, Zachary Huskisson, Hannah Gorman, Stephanie (Luke) Hurtte and Caroline Dugan; great-grandchildren, Keaton, Asher and Evelyn; sister, Mable Rogers of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Helena Gorman, and six siblings.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 U.S. 40 West, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 13, also at the mortuary. Pastor Jay Fern will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
