CHARLOTTESVILLE — More than 350 runners and walkers participated in the fourth annual Royal Mud Man mud run.

The event, which snakes around the Eastern Hancock Schools campus and some neighboring properties, is sponsored by the Eastern Hancock Education Foundation in an effort to raise money to help teachers implement unique ideas within their classrooms, according to a news release.

This year’s run raised more than $9,000, which will be distributed to teachers via grants during the coming school year.
