Family Film Festival features ‘Mall Cop 2’ at Legacy Cinema

GREENFIELD — The Free Family Film Festival presents “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2” at 10 a.m. June 15 at the Legacy Cinema, 2347 W. Main St.

In this PG-rated sequel to “Mall Cop,” Paul Blart (Kevin James) has earned a vacation and heads to Vegas with his teenage daughters and learns that safety never gets time off.

Plaza entertainment features Swing Shift Indy orchestra

GREENFIELD — Swing Shift Indy will perform at 7 p.m. Friday for this week’s Entertainment on the Plaza at the Greenfield City Plaza, the corner of State St. and Main St.

Swing Shift Indy is a traditional big band orchestra modeled after the big bands of the 1940s, featuring instruments such as saxophones, trombones, trumpets and a vocalist.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on. No rain dates are scheduled for Entertainment on the Plaza events.

Indiana Historical Society presents LGBT exhibit

INDIANAPOLIS — In honor of Circle City Pride Week, the Indiana Historical Society marks the debut of “A Visual Journey: From AIDS to Marriage Equality,” a traveling LGBT exhibit.

The display will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Mall.

The traveling exhibit celebrates 30 years of LGBT history as seen through the lens of photographer Mark A. Lee.

Art comes to Talbot Street for weekend festival in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS — More than 270 artists from around the country will gather on Talbot Street for this annual juried art fair.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the area of Delaware and Pennsylvania Streets. Admission is free for this family friendly event.
