Beverly M. (Doepker) Bills, 85, of McCordsville, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born October 30, 1930, in Bloomington, to the late Helmuth O. and Erma (St. Clair) Doepker.
Bev was a 1948 graduate of the old McCordsville High School and a member of the Fortville First United Methodist Church and Psi Iota Xi sorority. Bev enjoyed playing the piano, painting, poetry and puzzles. She had been an office assistant and teacher’s aide at Mt. Vernon Community High School for 17 years.
Bev is survived by daughter, Leisa Shultz Harmon of Greenfield; sons, Scott Bills (Marla , companion and caregiver to Bev) of McCordsville and Tracy (Crystal) Bills of Fortville; grandchildren, Jake (Ashlee) Shultz, Krystle (Eric) Goodall, Zach Bills, Alex Bills, and Cassie (Jason) Brumfield; stepgrandchildren, Chelsea (Taylor) Gibson and Drew Weir; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Byron “Lee” Doepker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Warren “Bud” Bills in 1993.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, at Seals Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
