Kenneth A. Denger, 76, of Anderson, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. He was born May 27, 1940, in Ingalls, Ind., to the late Leslie and Gladys (Carlson) Denger.

Ken was a cement finisher at Wilham Construction retiring in 2000. He poured concrete with his close friends Nick Harris and Jay Moore. He had also worked for Mike and Beth Shine of Pendleton. Ken enjoyed playing horseshoes and traveled extensively to participate in tournaments. Along with horseshoes, Ken enjoyed fishing, playing poker and collecting unique rocks.

He is survived by wife, Mary (Butler) Denger; children, Kathy Neighbors and Randy Gibson; stepchildren, Jeremiah Walters, Jamie Walters and Michael Mountain; brothers, Don Denger, Art Denger and Charles (Jeanne) Denger; sister, Pat Isles; several grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Raymond Kerns, Ronnie Douglas and Dave Ripberger.

Ken was preceded in death by sisters, Beverly Jeffries and Norma Webb; brother, Lowell Denger; and nephew, Robert Denger and special friend, Dave Hooper.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 6, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Funeral services for Ken will be held immediately following at 2 p.m. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
