Diana S. Estes, 55, a longtime Greenfield resident passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016, in Greenfield, Ind. Diana was born in Rushville on
August 19, 1960. Her adopted parents were Theo and Nina (Travis) Shaw, Nina survives. Diana’s biological parents are Gene Halcomb and Betty Rossi; both survive.
Diana was a 1978 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. She married Rick Estes on December 13, 1980, and he survives. She worked for many years as a coordinator for Anthem Blue Cross in Indianapolis. Diana enjoyed riding quads, horseback riding and growing her flower garden.
Survivors include her adopted mother, Nina Shaw of Freemont, Mich.; her biological parents, Gene Halcomb of Metamora and Betty Rossi of Connersville; husband, Rick Estes of Greenfield; son, Ryan Estes also of Greenfield; two brothers, Ronnie Halcomb and wife Julie of Connersville, Jamie Halcomb and wife Dawn of Franklin County; three sisters, Vicki and husband Gary Brumfield of Mich., Kim and husband Randall Ison of Metamora, Brenda and husband Dave Moore of Connersville; and several great nieces and nephews.
Diana was preceded in death by her father, Theos Shaw.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Pastor Michael Smith will preside. Friends are welcome to visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. that same day at the mortuary. Burial will be in Raleigh (Zion) Cemetery.
