Betty (Wright) Delph was born in Shirley, Ind., on July 22, 1928, the daughter of Gerald A. Wright and Mable (Harris) Wright.

She was a member of the Shirley Eastern Star and Grand Chapter Choir, Lilac Club and Shirley/Wilkinson United Methodist Church where she was a member of the church choir.
